How long does it take to have a website designed?

The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule. On average it takes approximately 14 to 30 days for website including basic features or anywhere between 30 and 90 days for a larger, more complex website.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is a specific website address that you choose and register with Network Solutions (the official registrar of domain names ending in .com, .edu, and .gov). Your domain name can be what ever you choose as long as it is available for purchase. It is recommended that you try to match your business name to your domain name as closely as possible. You can check availability of domain names by doing a search.

What is website hosting?

Website hosting is a monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. Be sure to check out our website hosting packages on our Services page for more information. There is no problem with hosting on another provider or your own server but if you prefer to switch over to Aperina Studios Dedicated Virtual Hosting, just fill out an inquiry on our contact page and we will take care of everything. We will transfer your domain name along with all of your existing website’s content.

What is website maintenance?

Website maintenance is a monthly paid fee monthly to keep your website updated with new content that you provide. Most of the time, great websites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content is what will keep your visitors coming back. This is an optional service that we provide for our customers. If you want to maintain your website yourself you can do so.

Will we need to have a meeting in connection with the website design?

In the majority of cases a meeting is always helpful, however, we can also complete your website with contact just via email and telephone. We place suggested website designs onto the Internet in a private place where only yourselves and us can view the content. We then liaise with you regularly to discuss the web designs in order that the website design and functionality is exactly as you wish.

What is your payment plan for web/graphic design projects?

For first-time clients and for jobs with a quote of under $700, payment in full is required. For projects with a quote between $700-$3,000, payment in half is required along with a signed contract for beginning work, with the remaining half due upon completion of the project. For projects over $3,000, an initial payment representing one-third of the estimated total fee is required along with a signed contract. The second one-third is billable upon the halfway point or second phase of the project, with the final third due upon completion of the project. Regular clients are sent monthly invoices notifying payment within 30 days.
