What kind of equipment do you photograph with?

We use Canon professional gear. EOS 5D mark II and EOS 1DS.

Do we get high-resolution files?

Yes, the high-res digital files on disc are available in all of our wedding packages; and they are delivered upon receiving your album. Images are selected and edited at the Photographers’ discretion. Artists’ reserve the right to edit and release only those images deemed creditable as professional in quality and within the Photographers’ artistic standards.

How many images do you end up with for most weddings?

We average anywhere from 1500-2500 images at a typical wedding. You can rest easy knowing your event will be very well documented.

How long does it take to receive my prints and album?

We process orders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Generally you should allow 4-6 weeks for all print orders for editing/printing/delivery time. Our albums take approximately 4-8 months to complete. These albums are custom-designed by us and hand crafted by the best album company in the nation.

Why are your wedding packages so expensive?

Like everything else that goes into making your wedding day special, the photography is a very important investment. The cost of every package includes the highest quality products and level of service. A tremendous amount of work goes into preparing and creating final products that you will cherish and that will last a lifetime. For every hour spent photographing a wedding about six hours is spent back at the studio editing, retouching and assembling the final product. Additionally, we use the highest quality equipment available when documenting weddings and the sum of all the camera and lighting gear that is used at any given wedding costs well over $15000. In order to provide the best possible quality and timeless products we use the finest equipment available and invest a lot of time and money in making your wedding day the most special and well documented day of your life. Why compromise?

What is included in our session?

Our sessions include up to 90 minutes of shooting on location within 30 miles of Sacramento unless another location is arranged beforehand. If you need some ideas on locations, don’t worry we have plenty of suggestions! We also allow our clients to pick a location that might be special to them. All products, including individual digital files, prints, albums & canvas wraps are available for purchase á la carte unless otherwise noted in your package. The artists’ reserve the right to select the images included in the gallery. Images are selected and edited at the Photographers’ discretion and reserve the right to edit and release only those deemed creditable as professional in quality and within the Photographers’ artistic standards. If a high res disc of session images is purchased by the client the disc includes the images included in the client gallery (between 50-125 images are typically delivered on a session disc).

What should I wear to the engagement session?

Your session allows for two outfits total. Many couples start in something a little more ‘dressier’ and change mid-way through the session into something more casual and relaxed. Being comfortable and being yourself is the most important thing.

What do we do if it is raining on the day of our session?

Generally if it is just a light mist, we will proceed with the session. Bring along an umbrella just in case! Typically, we take couples inside local coffee shops, under awnings etc. until the rain passes. However, in the case of heavy downpours we will re-schedule the session for another time. Despite what some people may think, cloudy days are fantastic for photos!
